As is the case with all romantic love stories, ours began with a text message!  But some backstory first …

For many years, friends and family would talk about the possibility of Jason + Brie together. They would often say “you two would make a great couple, you’d be perfect together!”.  From afar Jason had admired Brie’s faith, strength, endurance, and stunning beauty. Brie had known Jason to be a kind, gentle, and loyal man with great hair. But they had never met. Until one day Brie’s best friend put in motion a conversation that would launch a beautiful love story!

Brie’s friend had for several years been talking up Jason, and finally giving in to her curiosity, she told her friend “fine, he can text me, what’s gonna happen?!?”  Brie’s friend contacted Jason’s sister-in-law and said that if Jason was interested, Brie would welcome a phone call or text from him.  Jason of course was interested, although he waited a week to compose the silliest of text messages as an introduction. But to his delight and surprise, she replied!  It would be another two weeks before Brie and Jason would finally meet in person.

Due to the pandemic, the couples first date would be a small picnic in the green pasture adjacent to Brie’s property, up on a hill with a view of the lake. It was beautiful, perfect!  It was also the start of many, many picnics and outings, with hours upon hours of conversation and connection. Brie and Jason had finally found each other, and their love began to grow, with each passing day, stronger and stronger, and then eventually …
